+Advising Staff
Students are assigned a student Success Advisor based on their major which allows students to benefit from a deep understanding of the course progression and processes unique to that program. Your advisor will assist you in developing a graduation plan, registering in classes and identifying resources to assist in successful progression toward your degree. They are available to assist students in a variety of ways beyond simply registering for classes.
Every student also has a faculty advisor who provides information on career pathways in specific to each major and can assist in determining appropriate elective credit, internships and other experiences that provide a deeper preparation in your chosen career.

The Disability Support Services Office is available to Thomas University on-campus and online students with disabilities. They coordinate with resources to provide a learning environment focused on student success.
The Student Disability Support Services Office serves as Thomas University’s entry-point into advocacy for on-campus, online and distance students with disabilities. Academic Accommodations
Students can receive various academic accommodations based upon their individual needs.Some examples of accommodations are having course materials made available in alternative formats such as:

This is not an exhaustive list of accommodations. Accommodations are individualized and will be discussed and implemented depending on the academic needs of each individual student.
Requesting Accommodations
Thomas University complies with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act, both of which ensure that no student is denied benefits, excluded from participation, or otherwise subjected to discrimination because of a disability.
Students request accommodations for documented disabilities have the legal responsibility to request reasonable accommodations in a timely manner and to provide the institution with appropriate documentation of any disabling conditions. Sufficient advance notice of a request for an accommodation is required in order to give the various offices involved in making the accommodation a reasonable period of time to evaluate the request. It is important to note that self-disclosure of a disability is strictly voluntary.
Students who are interested in receiving accommodations based on their disabilities should complete the steps listed below in advance of the anticipated need for services and accommodations and complete the attached form. This form and documentation of the disability must be received no later than TWO WEEKS prior to the start of the semester in which the student intends to attend classes for accommodations to be made in a timely manner.

Current, written documentation from appropriate professional personnel is required and documentation is subject to verification by Thomas University.

Dictionary of Occupational Titles is a vast electronic treasure trove of facts and figures on almost every job in the economy, and is based on information from the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Census Bureau, and other reliable sources. It contains descriptions of 950 jobs, covering almost 100% of the workforce, from the Department of Labor’s vast Occupational Information Network database. The website below contains the most current data on earnings, growth, education, and training needed for the jobs listed. The job descriptions are organized by the Standard Occupational Classification system, which arranges job titles into clusters for easy browsing or research.
