Campus Minister
Thomas University is seeking a campus minister (CM). This is a one year, grant funded, position with renewal dependent upon enrollment outcomes.
An intricate part of the TU’s Student Life unit, the CM will enhance current services offered to student-athletes through Goal Line Ministries (https://goallineministries.org/). Additionally, the CM will recruit and oversee residential students for a service-learning program that will equip them to be disciples of Jesus Christ at home, work, church, and in the world.
Nontraditional students and graduate students make up two thirds of TU’s student body (approximately 980 students). These learners are online and the CM will develop digital content to meet their spiritual needs through biblical studies and online workshops related to both formation and leadership. As a thought leader, the CM also will host asynchronous webcasts/podcasts with recognized leaders from the faith community.
As a chaplain, the CM is responsible for cultivating a community that is sensitive to issues of inclusion and engages positively with a multitude of faith traditions. The CM is a member of the Student Life staff, reporting directly to the Vice President for Student Life.
