Affiliate Assistant Professor – Education

Thomas University, an independent, not-for-profit, institution of higher education in Thomasville, Georgia with undergraduate and graduate programs invites applicants for the position of Affiliate Assistant Professor of Education. The position requires teaching courses online synchronous and serving as a University Supervisor for students in the Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Teaching programs offered on Saturday. The full time remote appointment has a start date of August 15, 2022.

Required Qualifications:

• Earned Ed.S. or higher in an Education field.
• Minimum of three years of P-12 teaching experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with P-12 educational supervision, coaching/mentoring, performance evaluation, pedagogical best practices, and curriculum design and development.
• Expertise teaching online.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit good judgment in making decisions concurrent with University policy.
• Ability to build relationships and work cooperatively with all constituents.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Earned Doctoral degree.
• Successful experience working with diverse student populations.
• Content expertise in dyslexia, reading, gifted or ESOL.
