Admissions Representative
Reports to the Vice President of Enrollment. Is primarily responsible for participating in meaningful recruitment travel and events as well as successfully managing a pool of prospective students with the objective of converting prospective students to applicants and converting applicants to enrolled students.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, schedules and participates in relevant recruitment events. Works with Vice President to review travel plans.
- Participates in long and short range travel as required. Completes post travel/event reports.
- Gives large and small group presentations while speaking informatively and enthusiastically on behalf of the college. its academic programs, student services, athletic teams, clubs and organizations.
- Develops and maintains close working relationships with all organizational contacts including counselors, advisors, faculty and other opinion leaders and partners.
- Maintains timely communication and enrollment counseling to prospective students and applicants.
- Manages applicant files, maintains persistent regular contact with applicants through the drop, and add period. Ensure students have completed all necessary steps to start classes (e.g. housing application, registered for classes, financial aid file complete, transcripts received, etc.)
- Provides an informative and welcoming environment for prospective students and their families during a campus visit, campus tour or university event. Assists with group tours.
- Documents and schedules all communication and activities with prospective students in the college’s CRM.
- Assists with placement exams both on campus and at remote locations.
- Represents Thomas University in a positive, non-biased, non-offensive manner.
- Works as a team player in order to meet the goals of the university in keeping with the TU mission statement.

- Evaluating transcripts and test scores to determine admission.
- Analyze, evaluate and work with Marketing to create effective materials for recruiting
- Works flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with periods of frequent travel.

Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Record of successful sales and sales management
- Prior college admissions experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Sales Force or other Customer Relationship Management software preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Public speaking experience.
- Experience working with high school, adult military and online markets highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience with military preferred.
Work Requirements:
- Must be able to travel occasionally overnight
- Willing to work evenings and weekends
