Center for Military Life

The Center for Military Life’s mission is to provide transition support and services for veterans, current service members, Department of Defense employees and their dependents by strengthening support during the entire life cycle of service.

+Pre-Enlistment

Every year college-bound athletes are celebrated at signing ceremonies where they declare their intention to apply their talent at a new school. High school students who commit their talent to our country, however, are rarely as visible. C.Mil honors the commitment to all high school students and citizens enlisting in the armed services.

The Veterans Success and Transition Services Center at Thomas University provides drop-in opportunities for high school students and their parents to visit with veterans and learn more about life in the military.

TU is committed to supporting all aspects of the recruitment process, including the physical demands and requirements of serving in our Nations military. Our gymnasium and workout facilities are available to those participating in the Delayed Entry Program (DEP). Students can also prepare for and take the ASVAB in TU’s Academic Resource Center located inside the TU Library.

TU recognizes the extraordinary commitment that young people and their families make when enlisting. We also celebrate it by serving as the headquarters for a chapter of Our Community Salutes, an organization dedicated to celebrating and supporting those transitioning into military service.

TU is a concurrent admission partner (ConAp) with the U.S. Army Recruiting Command. This means that during the Future Soldier Orientation, TU can be selected as the home school for an area of study. TU will then work to ensure degree completion in the most efficient way possible, including awarding credit for military training and job experience.

Whether planning for a full career in the military or preparing for a transition into civilian life, C.Mil offers a range of programming to assist service members with maximizing promotion opportunities, civilian education and transition assistance support.
