management degree online and classroom

Management

A business degree in management can be the starting point of a career in many fields. Few organizations can operate successfully without trained administrators. Today’s business leaders must be effective decision makers with business skills and insight.  The Management degree can be completed entirely online, or at our campus in Thomasville.

The Bachelor of Science in Management degree provides both online and on-ground students with a strong foundation of business practices and teaches students how to apply them to real-world circumstances.  Students complete introductory courses in accounting, economics, social responsibility and the legal environment in business.  The program focuses on providing students with the skills of analysis of business problems and opportunities, key business functions as well as analysis and implementation of business practices.

A major in Management prepares students to think about diversity, ethics, work culture and other work environment issues. The ability to work in small groups is a key skill of management as well as accounting principles and general knowledge of marketing, policy development and human resources. For students interested in leadership, who balance sensitivity with fairness and innovation and are creative problem solvers, this is an excellent career choice.

The Business Division’s Business Leadership Advisory Board is comprised of corporate leaders from Fortune 500 companies, as well as principals from across the United States. These leaders provide valuable information concerning course content, internships, job opportunities and current business issues critical to the success of our students.

A broad range of experiences are offered to business students, including:

  • Project courses providing practical hands-on experiences in real-world application.
  • Internships with diverse businesses and organizations.
  • Field visits to industry leader organizations.
  • Business expert series and guest lecturers.
