JV Men’s Basketball Coach/ Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach
Function:
This position assists the Head Men’s Varsity Basketball Coach with the development of student-athletes within the men’s basketball program
Responsibilities:
1. Coaching/practice and planning/preparation for the JV men’s basketball program
2. Organization and execution of the overall player development plan
3. Game day operations and logistics
4. Administration, fundraising, and student athlete recruitment/retention for the JV Basketball program
5. Supports the department/university’s commitment to academic excellence
6. Assisting the Head Men’s Varsity Basketball Coach in these same areas (above) as needed
7. Other job duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Basketball Coach
Reports to: Head Varsity Men’s Basketball Coach
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred
- Minimum Required: Playing or coaching experience
- Preferred: Three (3) years of college basketball experience in coaching, recruiting, and overseeing academics
- One year as an assistant coach in high school, junior college, or university is preferred
- Competence in oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
- Complete NAIA Champions of Character Character-Driven online course (must
be completed within 60 days of employment)

Terms of Employment:
Full benefits, letter of employment, Full-Time, 12 months
Exempt position, 40 hours/week, hours will vary with season
Salary is commensurate with experience based on the department scale
