Student Account Assistant
Department: Office of Student Financial Services
Position Status: Full-Time
Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will report to the Student Account Coordinator. Administrative Assistant duties and responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Familiar with a variety of the office concepts, practices and procedures. Provide polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail and generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Develop and maintain a filing system
- Provide general support to visitors
- Provide information by answering questions and requests
- Post payments and charges to student accounts
- Other duties assigned
Minimum Education Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor degree
Qualifications
- Customer Service experience
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Strong organizational and planning skills
