Clubs and Organizations
Participation in student clubs and organizations offers you opportunities for fellowship, leadership, recreation, and meaningful interaction with faculty, staff, and students. The good friends and times encountered through being actively involved in campus life can help make TU home.
Art Club
The Art Club is open to any students interested in discussing art, creating art projects and visiting area art museums. For more information, contact Prof. Rich Curtis.
Bowling
The Bowling team participates in regional bowling tournaments in the southeast. Students interested in participating should contact Susan Backofen.
Campus Activities Board (CAB)
The Campus Activities Board is a group of student volunteers who plan activities for other students. Events may include movie nights, free food events and more. New CAB volunteers are also welcome. For more information, contact Katherine Streater.

Chorus
The Thomasville Singers is a community chorus with weekly rehearsals. Participation requires the ability to sing on pitch and a desire to improve singing skills. For more information, contact Dr. Karl Barton.
Dance Team
TU’s Dance Team participates in all men’s and women’s home basketball games. For more information, contact Susan Backofen.
Goalline Ministries
Goaline Ministries is a non-denominational Christian organization that works with students at Thomas University. Goalline activities include the Adopt-a-Student program, Survivor, Bible studies, mission projects and team devotions. Goalline creates a safe place where students can be themselves and explore God’s plan for their lives while growing spiritually. For more information contact John Rainey.
Jazz Ensemble
TU’s Jazz Ensemble performs at events throughout the area. Weekly rehearsals are open to all as a way to explore both traditional and modern jazz standards with an emphasis on improvisation and performances throughout the region. For more information, contact Dr. Karl Barton.
Ministry Team
This organization meets weekly for fellowship and Bible study. Students work in teams to support area church activities including youth lock-ins, Praise Band, etc. For more information, contact John Rainey.
Night Hawk Review
The Night Hawk Review is TU’s annual creative arts journal, which highlights the creative work of students, staff, faculty and friends of TU. Accepted submissions include poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction essays, reviews, drama, photos, paintings and drawings. Submissions may be sent to thenighthawkreviewart@gmail.com.
Pep Band
The Pep Band consists of trumpet, trombone, saxophone, percussion, bass (upright or guitar) and other instruments as needed. Participants attend regular practices and perform at home basketball games. For more information, contact Dr. Karl Barton.
Psychology Club
The Psychology Club is an organization open to psychology majors and those with a special interest in psychology. For more information, contact Dr. Steve DePaola.
Rotaract is a division of Rotary International specifically for college-aged students. This is an international service organization with opportunities to network with business leaders from around the world. For more information, contact Tara Hagan.
TU Book Club
The Thomas University Book Club meets monthly for a discussion on a selected book. Each discussion is led by a leader knowledgeable about the chosen book and/or author. Discussions focus on books of current interest as well as on the classics. The book club meets once a month on the TU campus. Meetings are open to the public.
